We’ve found that Focus Time can have a lasting impact on the rest of the workday. By practising impulse control during Focus Time - resisting the urge to approach colleagues at any moment - everyone becomes more considerate. This increased mindfulness creates a calmer atmosphere during the remaining hours as well.

It’s frustrating when you can’t finish your tasks and end the day feeling like you didn’t accomplish much. Yet, many workdays end just like that. Focus Time allows for significantly increased concentration, helping you get more done – and as a result, feel more content and less stressed.

This is how #Focus Time works

Important tasks often require sustained concentration, which is hard to find time for. Focus Time is the antidote to this. It applies to everyone on the team at the same time and is meant to allow you to fully dive into your own tasks with the reassuring knowledge that you won’t be interrupted. We recommend teams block off an hour each day in their calendars for this. During this time, there are no conversations in the room, no meetings, and ideally, phone calls are forwarded and email or chat notifications are turned off. It’s amazing how much you can accomplish in an hour when you know you won’t be disturbed.
